The Steam 20th Anniversary event was a particularly fun one—we knew we were going to have a timeline of Steam events over the past two decades, and that we wanted to reference some pop cultural memes from each year, but beyond that it was completely open.

I ended up making side-by-side lists of everything that happened at Valve in a given year, and any pop cultural moments/memes, and then it was just a matter of mashing each thing up. The results are fun but also extremely cringe, as is inevitable when you’re referencing the stalest memes known to man, but I think it really comes together as a whole.
